MEDITATION COURSE
Thinking about ‘learning’ meditation?
Maybe you don’t know where to begin or you’ve already started but haven’t found a routine that works for you.
Sitting with yourself can be wildly uncomfortable. But sometimes what you hate the most, is exactly what you need.
We start small, focusing on the consistency of showing up and trying to listen to our intuition. Later we build up the work and perhaps make meditation into a non-negotiable part of your daily routine.
If there is an aim of this course, it’s to become less judgmental of our own thoughts.
We will hold space to deeply realise the power of the truth that you already have everything you need inside.
„oohhh...this is nice“
„you’re welcome“
What?
This course is all about finding a meditation routine that works for you and incorporating meditation in your daily life - whether it’s ten minutes a week or half an hour a day, whatever your personal idea is. It’s about being consistent in showing up and maybe surprising ourselves about how long we can sit in silence.
We meet online twice a week for 20+ minutes. Each session consists of some theory and a (guided) group meditation.
Week 1 - the benefits: I will give you some theoretical background on why meditation is so helpful for our brains. In practice, we focus on finding a good seat that works for you.
Week 2 - refine the technique: There are many ways to meditate, we will explore a few and find one that works for you.
Week 3 - managing thoughts: We learn what it means to have thoughts in meditation, how to manage them and what to do when uncomfortable feelings arise.
Week 4 -it’s all about routine: The foundation is there. Now we focus on what it takes for you to stay consistent, even when meditation is the last thing you want to do.
